PESHAWAR, May 20: Following a call by the Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, workers of the party held a protest demonstration at Sher Shah Suri Road here on Monday against the murder of a senior PTI leader Zehra Shahid Hussain in Karachi.

Holding banners and placards inscribed with demands for arrest of the killers they also shouted slogans against Muttahida Qaumi Movement for allegedly involved in the murder of PTI woman leader.

The protesters were led by the newly elected members of the national and provincial assembly.The speakers appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu action against the killers. They held the caretaker government of Sindh responsible for the killing as it failed to arrest the killers.

The protesters warned that if the government failed to arrest the people involved in the cold-blooded murder of Zehra Shahid then the PTI workers would continue protest demonstrations.—Bureau Report
