QUETTA: At least five persons including four women were killed whereas another two injured in a firing incident in Balochistan's Sibi town on Thursday, police said.

Police said four gunmen on two motorcycles opened indiscriminate fire at a house in Killi Dur Muhammad area of Sibi town.

The attack left four women and a man dead on the spot whereas the assailants managed to escape unhurt.

Police said another two women were critically wounded in the attack.

The casualties were rushed to Civil Hospital Sibi for medical treatment.

Police sources, not wanting to be named, told Dawn.com that the house could have been targeted by religiously-motivated militants for suspected involvement in 'immoral' activities allegedly taking place at the premises.
