KARACHI, May 22: Seven ships carrying base oil, crude oil, containers and DAP are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage of Karachi Port on Thursday, said a KPT source.

Niara, Uasc Ajman and Bunga Lucerne were berthed on Wednesday. While Octaden, Fu Rong Song, YM South, Hyundai Freedom, TS Singapore, Chang Hang Huai Hai, Niara and Wan Hai 601 sailed out.

A cargo volume of 50,744 tonnes comprising 23,879 tonnes of import and 26,865 tonnes of export was handled.

Following ships are due to arrive on Thursday: Bunga Kantan with base oil, Euro Progress with crude oil, Ponente, APL Sharhah, Taipei, Ever Result with containers and POS Almandin with Dap.

Port Qasim KARACHI: Two ships carrying containers arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA release on Wednesday.

Three ships namely Najran, Maersk Kolkata and AL Soor-II were busy in loading and offloading containers and diesel oil respectively.

A cargo volume of 56,238 tonnes comprising 42,924 tonnes of import and 13,314 tonnes of export was handled.
