Plea to end dynastic rule

I CONGRATULATE Nawaz Sharif, his family and party for this landslide victory at the national level and provincial level in Punjab. Shahbaz Sharif has been twice successful as chief minister of Punjab.

Now instead of continuing a dynasty, this position should be awarded to other stalwarts of the party like Chaudhry Nisar, Ahsan Iqbal, and Khwaja Asif.

This will enhance Nawaz Sharif’s credibility in the eyes of the public and also break the chain of dynastic politics in Pakistan.

Good luck and Godspeed for the next five years.

What dynasty system are you talking about? These are sons of soil and will be here forever. Second and third generation Pakistanis born in other countries have move back and now would like to take over the country which was rejected by their parents. My answer to that is very simple: NO THANKS

@Dr Lakhani: We are praying for what you have kindly mentioned to happen peacefully and constructively. However the dynasty system can never end. It can only be interrupted with the advent of army takeovers now and then. Talking about the dynasty, now NS daughter and Shabaz Sharif's son are self generated and unabated hot contenders for the new generation dynasties.

Lets not talk of oxymorons like honest- bureaucrats. Dynastic rule is important for feudal lords. How else would they be sure of continuing ruling their slaves on their lands, if some non- feudal comes to power rules and confiscates their land, as India did soon after the partition?.

Are they self generated , suggest to them to stop mentioning the self proclaimed Goodness of Mian family . While Shabaz's son is destined to use the family name as such , Mariam can switch to the Pakistani style and start using her husband's name next to her and then we will see how far she can be termed as self generated politician destined to rule ! The change can come and will come the next day , if we the people stop back such leaders and such parties who do not have democracy within their set-up , how on earth they can bring and give nourishment to the democracy at the regional or national level .

Media should play an active role, educate people and make them aware of the members of dynastic politics, irrespective of the party, warn them that this vermin is in the game for money and privileges, they are a parasite class, lazy and living of people through corruption; advise people not to vote for them. The younger generation in the universities and colleges, young workers and trade unions should do the same. Soon the younger generation will make this vermin an extinct species.

Dr. Lakhani, As many PPP leaders accept responsibility of defeat and resign from their seat, is Imran Khan has courage to take the same responsibility and resign he seat which he is sitting for more than 17 years. Does he has any moral character? Mr. Iqbal If mothers stops to give birth of honest people, then from where Imran Khan bring honest MPAs and bureacrates to rule KPK? Or they become honest just by joining PTI.

It is true that corruption is rampant in Pakistan , but to paint all Pakistani bureaucrats with one brush is wrong and unfair. I am sure some of them are honest, hardworking and sincere. Why would one ignore them, while making an absurd statement? Siddique Malik, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
