Altaf to announce ‘new’ names for MQM committees

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain will announce the names of new Coordination (Rabita) and Organisation (Tanzeemi) Committees’ members today during the general workers address, DawnNews reported.

Talking with party members, the MQM chief said that he is busy in ‘reorganising the party’ and is currently conducting interviews for various posts within the party. He said that it would take somewhere between two weeks to a month to reorganise the party.

Meanwhile, he announced that Nadeem Nusrat would be the temporary in-charge of the Coordination Committee in the international secretariat.

Why every body does not ignore or boycott this person completely because a British national has no right to involve in Pakistan politics. Our media is to blame most. He deserted Pakistan and his people for more than 20 years and showed allegiance to his new country Britain. One can not be loyal to two countries at the same time. Has he now become a foreign agent or the British Govt is so naive and not prepared to take action against him. Or the people of Pakistan are so ignorant. Best thing for him will be to renounce British Citizenship and return to Pakistan among his people. Why is he so afraid. He should believe that his day of death is already fixed by God. No body can change it. I think there should be new law in Pakistan to bar any person from taking part in its politics if he acquires any other citizenship. Otherwise the day is near that dual nationality privilege will be withdrawn. Also is he the owner of MQM that every decision is made from London by one man

Why is it a common phenomenon in Pakistan that leaders leave their beloved homeland and lead from foreign soil such as Britain, Saudi Arabia, primarily? Leadership from exile is known well but why is it so common for Pakistani leaders?
