SUKKUR, May 30: Returning officer and first additional sessions judge of Jacobabad Ramesh Lal summoned all contestants for PS-14 to appear before him at 10.00am on Saturday for recounting of votes of a disputed polling station and declaring the final winner.
The Sindh High Court directed recounting of votes of polling station No38 in Hawaldar Brohi village after PPP candidate Sardar Mohammad Muqeem Khoso filed an application, requesting suspension of issuance of a notification to declare his rival, PML-N’s Mohammad Aslam Abro, as victor.
Mr Khoso stated that Mr Abro had obtained 117 votes at polling station No38 but the final result showed him getting 197. If Mr Khoso’s claim proves to be right after recounting he could win by a margin of 67 votes.
