After successful climbs on Mount Everest and stories of failed summit attempts in spring this year, climbing expeditions have now shifted their attention to the Karakoram Range and the tail end of the Himalayas. Over 50 climbing expeditions have started landing in Islamabad, and according to the Alpine Club of Pakistan, some have already reached the foot of the mountains and set up base camps.
