QUETTA: Levies force recovered huge quantity of weapons during a search operation on main RCD highway in Khuzdar district of Balochistan on Friday.

A levies official who took part in operation, not wanting to be named, told Dawn.com that two suspects were also taken into custody during the operation.

He said the arrested persons were smuggling weapons from Quetta to Karachi adding that two rocket launchers , 91 mortar shells, 47 detonaters, and other weapons were seized from their vehicle.

The arrested suspects were shifted to an unknown location by security forces for further investigations.

The RCD highway links Quetta with Karachi.
