QUETTA, July 7: Gunmen opened fire on a tanker carrying fuel for US-led forces in Afghanistan in the Wadh area of Khuzdar district on Sunday.

Police said the gunmen on a bike attacked the tanker when it was going to the border town of Chaman from Karachi, and escaped.

The vehicle was damaged but no loss of life was reported, they said.

Man, woman killed: A man and a woman were murdered in the name of ‘honour’ in Nasirabad district on Sunday, police said.

A police official said one Mohammad Ibrahim Mugheri allegedly shot dead his sister and Ahmed Mugheri in Goth Abdul Manan.

The bodies were taken to a hospital for post mortem and police registered a case against Ibrahim Mugheri, who fled the scene after the incident.
