PESHAWAR: A loud explosion occurred in a vehicle in Dabgari Garden area of Peshawar on Wednesday

The home-made bomb was planted under the vehicle of a doctor, according to police sources.

The vehicle was damaged in the blast.

There was no confirmation of any human loss or injury.

Police and security forces reached the spot and cordoned off the area as a probe into the blast went underway.

The targeted vehicle belonged to a doctor who runs a private clinic in the area where patients from various districts of the province arrive to get a medical checkup.

More in another separate incident unknown motorcyclists opened fire on a motorcycle squad of Police station Hoti in Jalal Koroona area killing one police man and injuring another, security sources told Dawn.com.

The attackers managed to escape from the scene with the official motorcycle and weapons.
