MIRPURKHAS, July 18: The Jhuddo police arrested three suspects nominated in the murder case of a married Hindu woman on Thursday, police officials said.

They added that a couple of days ago Shrimati Pathani, wife of Amolakh Bheel, had allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house in Jhuddo Town.

However, on Wednesday, Sodho Bheel, father of the woman, lodged the murder case of her daughter with the Jhuddo police, claiming that the in-laws of her daughter had strangled her and then hanged her body with the ceiling fan to show as though she had committed suicide.

He nominated Dhalo, Jam and Soomro, all Bheel by caste, and some close relatives of her daughter in the murder case.

The police carried out a raid and arrested the three suspects.

Meanwhile, the Kot Ghulam Mohammed police, acting on a tip-off, carried out a raid near Kot Ghulam Mohammed Road on Thursday morning and arrested two suspected robbers, Yousuf Machi and Dilber Leghari, and recovered two illegal TT pistols and some bullets from their possession.

The police said that the suspects had already been booked in criminal cases.
