MINGORA, July 20: Three bodies were recovered in Kabal subdivision here on Saturday.

An official said two bodies, including a girl from Peshawar, were recovered from Swat River at Ningwalai area. The girl, Laiba, (8) of Bakhshi Pul, Peshawar, fell into the river while playing at the riverbank, he said. The other body could not be identified.

However, police said the deceased was 60 years old.

A Kanju police official said an unidentified man was found dead in a field at Taran area.

Meanwhile, protest against prolonged power outages continued in different parts of Swat on Saturday.

Residents of New Colony, Matta subdivision staged a demonstration at Matta chowk, demanding end to loadshedding. They also blocked Matta road, chanting slogans against Wapda and provincial government.

They warned that if a faulty power transformer in the locality was not repaired they would intensify their protest.—Correspondent
