NOWSHERA: Scores of internally displaced persons (IDPs) from the Jalazoi Camp protested violently on Chiraat Road after they did not receive Ramazan food packages.

The protesters went on a rampage, burning down sign boards and pelting stones on vehicles and pedestrians.

Carrying sticks in their hands, a large number of women and children joined the male protestors and shouted slogans against the camp’s administration and PDMA.

The protestors alleged that the government had sold foreign aid sent for the IDPs.

The IDPs further demanded of the KP government to take notice of the issue at the earliest and carry out appropriate action against the Jalazoi Camp’s administration.
