PM, Saudi crown prince discuss bilateral ties

RIYADH: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday met with Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz in Makkah.

The two discussed Saudi-Pak bilateral relations and also exchanged views on issues facing the Muslim world. They expressed satisfaction over ties between the two countries.

The prime minister said Saudi Arabia’s role in the Muslim world was exceptional. Whereas, the Saudi crown prince said Pakistan was like his second home.

The prime minister was also accompanied in the meeting by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar and Hussain Nawaz.

Prime Minister Sharif is on a private visit to Saudi Arabia and had arrived in Jeddah on Thursday night. He was received at the Royal Terminal by Governor Makkah region Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, senior functionaries of Royal protocol, Governorate, Saudi Foreign Office and government functionaries. Pakistan’s ambassador in Saudi Arabia Mohammed Naeem Khan was also present to receive the premier.

Prime Minister Sharif would also visit Madinah al-Munawarah.
