Imran to take Fazlur Rehman to court

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan has stated that he will take Maulana Fazlur Rehman to court for calling him an agent of the Jews, DawnNews reported.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, he said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman should tell the people as to who secretly met with the US Amabassador and expressed his wish to become the prime minister.

Imran Khan said that a legal notice will soon be sent to the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) chief.

The JUI-F chief has made statements in the past attacking Imran Khan. Tensions between the two political leaders reached a new level after the May 11 General Elections.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman had denounced the PTI win in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and stated that the polls were rigged.

He also said that he did not accept the PTI's mandate in the province.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman has also called Imran Khan a “western agent” and claimed that Khan wants to destroy Pakistani society by injecting his ‘western thoughts’ in it,

Imran Khan on the other hand has also returned criticism at the JUI-F chief stating that Fazlur Rehman had been using religion for political gains.

The PTI chief has also said that people like his JUI-F counterpart have given Islam a bad name.

Both Maulana and Imran Khan are responsible for the KPK government and rather than Playing Tom and Jerry both should focus on real issues. Many people are dying in blasts and now many are dead in floods and thousands of homes have been affected in KPK and millions of rupees of livestock is swept away by floods and where is the Response??. Both Imran Khan and Maulana should stop this catfight and kindly concentrate on those issues for which people have actually voted you for.

I think both are dealing with non - political issues and I think both leaders are wasting their political duty to help people to find way out from poverty and corruption which is eating Pakistan. I still believe Imran Khan is more sensible than Maulana because Imran Khan want to change Pakistan but Maulana knows what he needs and when he needs and from whom he needs and why he needs.

Welcome to the political arena of Pakistan Mr Khan. I hope you have not underestimated the fact that this will be (by faaaaar) your toughest encounter. If you think you have had tough matches on a cricket pitch you have a whole new thing coming your way and you better take guard and be ready as this will be no gentlemans game. I am Indian it is no different here where corrupt politicians are hard, if not impossible, to overthrow even though it is clear as day to see the damage they do to the common man whilst accumulating vast amounts of wealth that end up in foreign bank accounts. I wish you good luck as you seem a sincere person trying to make things better for the poor of Pakistan who never seem to get a fair deal much like here in India.

i would like to say that Imran khan should adopt a policy framework for the people of Khyber pukhtun khwa and he should get his main focus on counter terrorism,creating employment opportunities, improving education sector, reducing poverty as this provinces is already been engaged in many calamities.For removing calamties the people of khyber pukhtun khwa voted you as they think that you are a favourable and democratic leader you would have to remove the problems which the people are facing.i personally thinks that imran khan should not indulging his own matters .As we see Imran as a great leader and we expect more from him its the time for him to show that how his policy works in the atmosphere.I personally like Imran khan and the thing which admire me the most is a leader is one who do not hold himeslf any position which imran did it i would be best desribed by the quote of Anthony J.d Angelo **You don't have to hold a position in order to be a leader**.

Initialy i thought tsunami could be fruitful, today from a layman to elite and educated one thinks social change aint that easy,, imran accepted mandet of kpk only for telling people that pti has won somethng atleast ,but he hastened so much, he should have known ground realities of kpk and governance.. Only intentions being good doesnt treat problem,it needs your hard time homework. Imran takes thing so simple thats why he cant heal. A gud politian always takes complex problems and tries to fix them with actions . Speaking against somethng is easy. But when things come on you. You cant make excuses like fata region is there on kpk side. Was it not there when your govt wasnt there. They say youth is with him ,its totaly sterotyping by media, if it was with him ,he would have become pm of pakistan. Dear brothers time has come when pakistan has entered in a phase called ethnic politics. It was only bhutto and bhutto ,who could run this country ,or dictators or zardari the heavy weight, nawaz sharif gets mandit of punjab ,and becomes pm of punjab. Facts are true concern for pakistani nation.

It is sad to see political leaders wasting their energy and time defacing each other. This is not the job voters elected them for. Imran Khan should stop dragging people to courts, whether the person is Mulana Fazal or Altaf Hussain. Again this is not the job he is elected for. Pakistani politics is a venture of blame game and it would be nice to see that he is not the champion of that game. Public has great expectation from him, however hate-preaching and mudslinging is not part of that of that package. In democracy disagreement and criticism on a specific policy of an individual is acceptable but there is difference between criticism of a policy and the character assassination of an individual. Imran Khan would be better off walking that fine line very carefully. We want him to work for the good of people and we will judge him on his performance and not on what other say about him.

Being uneducated and uncouth they take the simple and childish route of blaming opponents as working for the Jews or being western-minded. We now desperately need a culture in Pakistan whereby accusations are either proved or the accuser seriously reprimanded and punished by the courts. Civil actions have to brought in. Imran Khan is doing the right thing. May Allah help Pakistan.

However if some one take courage to ask questions about their failure in KPK from any of IK ministers, their answer is very simple. You people give them atleast 90 days to start changing. In other words, they are saying for uptill 90 days under PTI government, do not expect any rule of law. After 90 days they will start thinking of change. Well done IK. You changed the KPK and make it a role model of lawlessness.
