Four policemen arrested for negligence in DI Khan jailbreak

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Four policemen were arrested on Sunday for their negligent behaviour during an attack by the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) on the central jail in Dera Ismail Khan, DawnNews reported.

According to police sources, investigations revealed that the arrested officials namely Qaisar Khan, Sufaid Khan, Ateequr Rehman and Khan Bahadur were found guilty of negligence during the jailbreak.

Earlier on July 30, Pakistani Taliban insurgents had freed nearly 250 inmates, including 35 ‘high-profile militants’, during a brazen overnight attack on the central jail in Dera Ismail Khan.

Meanwhile, amid threats of possible terrorist attacks, security has been beefed up at the Central Jail Karachi.

Police have been deployed on the streets and the bridge leading from Central Jail to Rashid Minhas road in Karachi has also been closed to traffic.

What about the IG, DIG, SSP, ASP, SHO? These arrested poor policemen must be of lower ranks. They MUST take the higher officials to task and arrest them too.

This is Shameful to say Only four are guilty of Negligence. the Main person who must be negligent is the one who was incharge of the Security of DI Khan Prison. What About Him? Shame on those who say only four were guilty of Negligence. these must be low profile officers most probably contables who are being amde scapr goats for senior officers. Shame on Police dpartment for saying so and Shame on Provincial Govet to accept this.

All police personel deployed at the jail should be removed from service for showing cowardice leading to serious security problems for the complete country. Due to extreamly dangerous criminals that got away the crime is nothing less than a conspiracy againt the state or atleast abbetting.

The person responsible was blown up years ago in a helicopter accident..............but the seeds he planted were never destroyed and now its a full blown forest. So blaming a few junior policemen is simply eye-wash.

This is our war They have slaughtered thousands of innocent Pakistanis and Muslims who have nothing to do with them, they have bombed mosques , schools and every other place they have bombed quran in mosques There should be no talking no negotiations simply they should be exterminated No compromise

Prisoners free also included 35 high profile cases. Why their cases were not decided promptly and punished. If they were guilty they should have been hanged immediately instead of waiting for some one to come and rescue them?

What is the name of the Chief of Security in D I Khan Prison, he shall lose his job. But the problem is bigger than this, the real problem is that many Pakistanis believe that these convicted individuals are Heros who shall be set free so that they can Participate in the Great Jihaaad. This is the war that every responsible Pakistani shall fight by talking to those who believe in aiding these militants.
