QUETTA, Aug 14: A strike was observed by traders in several district headquarters of Balochistan on Wednesday on the call of Baloch National Front (BNF) in protest against the alleged killing of people by security forces.

The call for strike on Wednesday and Thursday was given to condemn the alleged extra-judicial killings in Machh, Naal and Turbat.

A BNF statement claimed that kidnapped persons were eliminated in the said areas in violation of international law and charter of the United Nations.

Trading centres and shops remained closed in Nushki, Mastung, Awaran, Panjgur, Gwadar and Turbat in response to the strike call.

The BNF statement said that Bujar Marri, Izat Marri, Dad Ali Marri, Wahid Bakhsh Marri, Noor Marri, Rahmiyo Marri, Juma Khan Marri and Razzak Marri were eliminated when they were in the custody of law-enforcement personnel.
