KARACHI, Aug 16: The Pakistan Herald Workers Union (PHWU), the CBA Union for Dawn, in a meeting on Friday offered condolences to family of senior journalist and former PFUJ president I.H. Raashed, who passed away in Lahore last week.

Paying tribute to the late Raashed Sahab for his struggle for justice and for the rights of newspapers employees, PHWU General Secretary and APNEC Chairman Shafiuddin Ashraf recalled his contribution and services during the struggle for the sixth and seventh wage board awards.

Raashed Sahab remained associated with Dawn for a long time and was a respected figure in the journalistic and social circles of the country.
