CHARSADDA: The government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa would reach its logical end soon, said Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman here on Sunday.

He, however, ruled out the possibility of initiating a no-confidence move against the provincial government or imposition of governor’s rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Talking to journalists during his visit to the district to offer condolence to MNA Maulana Gohar Shah on the demise of his brother Engineer Hameedullah, the JUI chief said that fake mandate of PTI in the province was not acceptable to them. He said that PTI failed to materialise its slogan of ‘change’.

About the proposed All-Party Conference, convened by the federal government on Monday, Maulana Fazl said that it was a positive step for restoration of peace. He said that negotiation was the best way for restoring durable peace in the country. He said that all stakeholders should be gathered on negotiating table to get fruitful results.

To a question, the JUI chief said that the decision to hold talks with all militant groups was prerogative of the government. He said that JUI had arranged a jirga to pave the way for peaceful talks. He termed it a positive development, saying the process bore positive results.

Maulana Fazl said proxy war was imposed on the world in the name of war against terrorism. He said that American attack on Syria would be a naked aggression against Muslim Ummah.

The JUI chief also questioned the validity of Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC), saying it was not representing properly the passion of Muslim Ummah. He said that OIC should come out from deep slumber and truly represent the Ummah and raise voice against atrocities against Muslims all over the world.

On the occasion, Maulana Fazl was flanked by Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, JUI provincial press secretary Haji Jalil Jan, former MNA Maulna Ghulam Mohammad Sadiq, Haji Danishmand and Haneefullah Hasrat.

The JUI chief alleged that America was responsible for infighting in Pakistan and other Islamic countries. He said that the US was using resources of Muslim states for its nefarious designs.
