Karachi violence claims six lives

KARACHI: At least six persons, including a political party worker, were killed in various incidents of violence whereas Rangers and Police personnel arrested 30 suspects and recovered weapons during targeted operations conducted in Karachi.

At least three persons were killed in a gunfiring incident in Orangi town area of Karachi on Tuesday.

Unknown motorcylce-riding gunmen opened fire near Islam chowk in Orangi town area of Karachi killing three persons including an office bearer of a political party.

Fear and panic gripped the area following the shooting and markets and shops were closed in the locality.

Another person was gunned down near Mohajir chowk in thesame area shortly afterthe first incident.

In another incident, a police party allegedly came under attack while conducting an operation in Karachi's Musharraf colony area.

The raiding police party resorted to retaliatory firing which resulted in the death of two suspected dacoits.

Police sources claimed to have recovered two TT pistols and a stolen motorcycle from the possession of the person killed in the encounter.

Meanwhile, a Rangers spokesperson said that 19 suspects were arrested during operations were conducted in Chanesar Goth, Shah Faisal, Green Town, Rasheedabad, Taiser town, North Karachi, Quaid-i-Azam colony and North Nazimabad areas of Karachi.

Police also claimed the arrest of a person involved in heinous crimes from Samanabad area of the city.

Moreover policemen from the city's Baghdadi precint claimed the arrest of eight persons involved in several criminal activities.

Police sources added that two alleged dacoits were arrested within the remit of Karachi's Boat Basin area.

Earlier on Monday, police had claimed to have detained four militants belnging to the procribed Lashkar-i-Jhangvi outfit and five target killers (hitmen) during operations conducted in Karachi.

I think its a very good operation and surely it will bring positive results very soon for the people of Karachi. Many criminals were openly targeting innocent people and the crime rate was climbing daily... this operation is not an option but an essential necessity to bring some peace in the society... we should all appreciate and support the police and rangers for their role in this exercise....

Authorities are just scratching the tip of the iceberg. Many hard core criminals have already went on vacation by train/plane to other parts of the country, such as their native places, murree etc. Others have left the country. They will return once the scratching is over and unleash their monster again once things are back to normal. The Govt wasted too much time in beating the drums of operation and allowed enough time for many criminals to make their escape/vacation plan.

The ever-rising bloodshed in Karachi is a major concern. Everyday Karachi citizen lose their lives.The financial hub of economic activity, Karachi remains in the grip of criminals. Do we believe the current govt. can bring peace in the city? Or an upcoming govt. is going to stop this violence. I think it's all result of our bad deeds that it's fallen upon us. Every citizen is responsible for this ongoing painful situation. These worse circumstances are all the result of our deeds. Its about turning to Deen. I, you and every one of us should follow life according to these guidelines. We all should beg forgiveness repetitively and mend our ways. Every one of us should worry his/her deeds. Govt. cannot control it and none of us can control this.The more citizens do this, the more situation is going to better.

In my opinion, the way our Governments are carrying out these operations are totally un-justified and un-reasoned. Well to launch such operations is good but why to keep the accused as Secret, What's the reason behind all this. Why do they veil the faces of those whom they claim, were accused and involved in such and such. This is disgusting. People should come to know, Who are targeting them. Unfortunately, nothing will go fair cause the big guns themselves are using these people for their personal interests and like the Jews when they complete their assigned tasks are either targeted or caught red handed. But still they are not allowed to reveal any single fact, like whom they were working for. How unlicensed Arms (Ammunition) enters Karachi? What are these Edhi and Chippa Ambulances used for? Every single knows but are frightened of their fate and cannot open their mouths. What are Pathan's doing there, are they for battle in Karachi?? What do you think, they could not use Arms in their native areas of going that far away?? Or is there any enjoyment in killing Muhajirs. Also, Why the so called Muhajir's call themselves as Muhajirs? When would they go back? Is there anything as such?? If not then they are Pakistani's and they don't have any right to call themselves Muhajir's. No one (knowing all the facts) has ever revealed anything upon the people of Pakistan. Because they don't feel fear from The Almighty Allah but Altaf Bhai, Army, America etc. CONCLUSION: ALL THESE SYMPTOMS REVEALS THAT PAKISTAN WILL DESTROY IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Having been in Karachi last week, I realised that people are now scared to even go to the gas/petrol stations. What a pathetic situation. These petty criminals must be punished to the maximum extent of the law. Unless that happens, nothing will change in our beloved city.

Law enforcer are playing their role in a efficient way it is commendable this operation should not stop untill all the criminal are elimianted and peace is restored in Karachi it should be continued but another question is about judiciary those who have been arrrested should not be let free again. they should go behind bar.

The cases against these criminals should be prepared with due diligence so that they do not get bail from the courts. Good job done by rangers. Karachi police needs to be revamped and restructured but feudal inPPP government run by feudals is a menance for karachi.

In the name of operation, innocent people are being killed by police and rangers that shows that they simply want to eliminate Karachi representatives from lime light. These extra judicial killing should be stopped, otherwise karachiites will have no other option but to fight for separate province for its representation.
