LONDON: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said here on Monday that the process of dialogue between Pakistan and India must continue.
“Dialogue is the only way forward in normalising the situation between the two neighbouring countries,” he said while talking to reporters on his arrival at Heathrow airport here from New York after attending a session of the United Nations General Assembly.
He described his meeting with Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh as “productive” and said important issues, including Kashmir and Sir Creek, had come under discussion. Mr Sharif said he also pointed out Indian interference in Balochistan.
In reply to a question, he said the issue of terrorism was not limited to Pakistan, many other countries were facing that challenge.
He said Taliban had denied involvement in bomb blasts in a Peshawar church, adding that the elements who were behind such attacks had to be identified.
He stressed the need for exposing those who were carrying out acts of terrorism and (promoting) extremism.
