Retired brigadier, three family members murdered in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: A retired brigadier, his wife and two daughters were killed by firing in Gulistan Colony on Tuesday, DawnNews reported.

Doctor Sikander Malik was the principle of the private medical college, and was residing within the medical facility's residential area.

Unknown men entered Brigadier (rtd) Doctor Sikander Malik's home, in the residential area of a private medical centre in Rawalpindi, and shot him in the head, along with his wife and two daughters.

His son was also injured during the firing.

Immediate medical aid was provided to him, and his condition was reported as out of danger. However, he is still unable to give a statement.

After they were informed of the incident, the hospital administration and agency personnel arrived at the scene.

An investigation into the incident was under way.

This sounds like a revenge attack from a disgruntled former patient. But there is discrepancy in the news. Other newspaper report the son was not at home. This one says he was injured.

If Government can not protect the citizens then citizens need to take up arms and learn to stand up to these thugs and defend. After a few fights where these criminals end up loosing rest will stop. Good people can always sell back or keep the guns at home. Like the old saying...if the guns are outlawed then only the criminals will have them.

Its time to choose the Path, the Govt is protecting Taliban and Taliban is killing what ever and who ever they like to kill. The Army is silent Its time for Public to lay their arm in to their hands and act upon by their own. If we had to defend ourselves then why we remain silent. Pakistan was built by us and we will save it too. We cannot let some bandits and long bearded criminals to ruin this country. If forces wanted to remain as gay so they do it but Public must not remain silent.

This is another act of terrorism by either the taliban or its branches or it could be because of enemity in any case manufacturing of guns should be stopped in the FATA and northern areas of the country and security should check at entry points to see if guns are being smuggled into bigger cities. The government should also give some time for all illegal guns to be surrendered and then conduct raids to confiscate arms and then punish the people who did not surrender illegal arms. Some drastic measures will have to be taken to get rid of the gun culture.

The Jehadi association has killed the society of Pakistan. We laugh at India when an incident happens there but do some of us still feel proud of such incidents in Pakistan? Tell me if a similar incident had happened in Srinagar how many of you would have been on road demanding action against India?
