LAHORE, Oct 7: The Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) in collaboration with L’Oréal Paris has announced the fashion designers and labels set to highlight the bridal trends for 2013-14 at PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2013 in Lahore from Oct 10 to 12.

Designers showcasing at the week will represent a diversity of aesthetics ranging from those steeped in tradition, design houses who focus on bridal fusion wear and those who are inspired by the more contemporary bride/groom. The event will also mark the exciting new addition of an early evening bridal showcase.

Those presenting collections at the week are Ali Xeeshan Theatre Studio, Asifa & Nabeel, Deena Rehman, Élan, Exist, Fahad Hussayn, HSY, Misha Lakhani, Nickie & Nina, Nomi Ansari, Saai by Sahar Atif, Sadaf Malaterre, Sana Safinaz, Sania Maskatiya, Sonia Azhar, The House of Kamiar Rokni and Zara Shahjahan. The PFDC will also host an exhibition at the venue followed by a three-day exhibition at the PFDC Fashion Boulevard in Lahore and Karachi featuring select collections from the participating designers after the fashion extravaganza concludes.

This year, the PFDC L’Oréal Paris team will also take bridal hair and make-up trends to a whole new level with participating bridal week style teams in association with PFDC member designers, who will exhibit their interpretation of bridal hair and make-up trends for the season using L’Oréal Professional and L’Oréal Paris products.

The week will feature an exclusive L’Oréal Professional Hair Trend Show showcasing the ‘IT LOOKS Fall/Winter 2013/14’ on day one as interpreted and infused with an Eastern contemporary flair by stylist Shammal Qureshi featuring capsule collections by Mohsin Ali, Sublime by Sara and Wardah Saleem.

L’Oréal Paris will also be creating exclusive make-up looks for 2013-14 in collaboration with PFDC member designers HSY, Fahad Hussayn and The House of Kamiar Rokni for their collection showcases featuring the participating Bridal Week style teams of Maram & Aabroo and Toni&Guy - Lahore who will share their interpretation of bridal make-up trends for the season.

In addition to this, L’Oréal Paris will be introducing a customised beauty lounge at the week where they will be introducing a special edition PLBW Bridal Make-Up Kit, which can be used to recreate favourite make-up looks from PLBW 2013, and an Essie Nail Bar where visitors can experience the brand’s acclaimed nail colour range firsthand.
