KARACHI, Oct 11: Aashiq Ali and Zillay Abbas captured six wickets between them to steer Eaton Cricket Club to the Essa Jaffer Memorial T20 Inter-club Cricket Tournament semi-finals as they beat Vital Five CC by four wickets at the Arabian Sea Country Club Ground here on Friday.

Aashiq captured three wickets for 11 runs and Zillay claimed three for 17 as Vital Five CC, batting first, were restricted to 119-9 in their 20 overs.

Eaton CC, in reply, reached the target for the loss of six wickets with five balls to spare. Opener Ali Jawad hit a sparkling 34 with the help of six boundaries.

Meanwhile, Punjab CC also qualified for the last-four stage when they beat Faisal Gymkhana by 11 runs.—APP
