KHUSHAB: Five people, including three women, were killed as a result of a collision between a bus and a rickshaw at Gerot Road here on Thursday.

Police said eight members of a family from officers’ colony Jauharabad were on their way to attend a wedding by rickshaw which collided with a bus of the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC) coming from the opposite direction near Pul chak No. 15.

As a result, five people died on the spot whereas three others sustained injuries.

Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to DHQ hospital Jauharabad.

Moreover, DPO Khoshab told a private television channel that the driver of the bus had managed to escape. The DPO said police had contacted the atomic energy commission to hand the driver over.
