KARACHI, Oct 31: Balochistan United and Diya FC reached the quarter-finals of the National Women’s Championship after winning their second straight games in Group ‘A’ here on Thursday.

Zulfia’s double helped Balochistan United thrash Balochistan 9-0 to top the group on goal difference from Diya FC who won 2-0 against Sindh here at the Agha Khan Gymkhana ground.

The two teams will battle it out on Saturday to decide which team tops the group.

Elsewhere, Islamabad also secured a spot in the quarters after hammering Azad Jammu and Kashmir 17-0 in Group ‘D’ at the Jinnah Stadium. Abiha scored six times with Kainat pumping another five goals.—Sports Reporter
