‘Black day’

KARACHI, Oct 31: One of the two groups which contested the recent PFUJ elections has announced that Nov 3 will be observed as a ‘black day’ to mark the imposition of emergency by retired General Pervez Musharraf in 2007.

Rana Azeem and Amin Yousuf who have claimed to have won the election for the post of PFUJ president and secretary general asked all unions and journalist organisations on Thursday to hold protest demonstrations and meetings on the day.

Meanwhile, the Karachi Union of Journalists has announced that it will hold a meeting of its executive council on Nov 2 to discuss the situation after the PFUJ election.
