KARACHI, Nov 2: The Azad Foundation in collaboration with the Street Child World Cup (SCWC) will take initiative to lift morale of the street children of Pakistan by sending Pakistan street children’s football team to next year’s SCWC event to be held in Brazil.

One of the founding members of the SCWC, Chris Rose, addressed a news conference here at the Karachi Press Club on Saturday and briefed media persons about SCWC plans.

The first edition of the event was held in 2010.

Chris, who is also the director of the Amos Trust, said featuring in international event will lift the morale of street children.

Children are very excited and looking forward to bringing the world cup to Pakistan, he said.

He further said that he was looking forward to watching Sunday’s street children match organised by the Azad Foundation.—PPI
