Clash outside SC leaves several injured

ISLAMABAD: Several people were injured as lawyers clashed with police after being stopped from entering the Supreme Court building on Tuesday.

According to a police source, many lawyers, nine policemen and the Assistant Commissioner Islamabad were among the injured, who were shifted to the Polyclinic.

Lawyers from various districts of Punjab had gathered outside the Supreme Court to demand setting up Lahore High Court (LHC) benches in Gujranwala, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions.

Lawyers clashing with the police?. Well, this is what has become of Jinnah's Pakistan. Lawyers have somehow misunderstood their job. They are behaving like an unruly mob who believes they are above the law and can take the law in their own hand, whenever convenient. I wonder who is teaching them to behave in this way?. Shame shame shame. How do we expect these people to defend the very law they are breaking ?
