KARACHI: Pakistan women’s team took revenge of their earlier defeat in the tournament at the hands of their Irish counterparts after registering a 21-run triumph in the PCB Qatar T20 Tri-series Cricket Tournament in Doha on Monday night.

Pakistan batted first in the match and put on board a competitive total of 132-5 in the allotted 20 overs.

Nain Abidi batted well for the side and scored 56 off 58 balls. Bismah Maroof also batted well for the side, making 23 off only 12 balls.

Ireland in response scored 111-5 in 20 overs. Elena Tice top scored for the side scoring 44 runs.

Skipper Isobel Joyce scored 36 runs. Qanita Jalil and Nida Dar captured two wickets each.

Ireland had earlier defeated Pakistan by six wickets on Sunday.—PPI
