Actress Sana Khan dies in car crash, husband critically injured

HYDERABAD: An accident near Looni Kot on super highway some 30 kilometres off Hyderabad claimed the life of actress Sana Khan on Friday.

According to motorway police, Sana Khan along with her husband and actor Babar Khan were on their way from Karachi to Hyderabad in a car.

The car driven by Babar went out of control near Looni Kot and overturned as a result of which both Sana Khan and Babar Khan received serious injuries.

On receiving information, the motorway police along with ambulance reached on the spot and shifted them to Liaquat University Hospital Jamshoro where Sana Khan breathed her last before she could get any first aid.

Babar Khan was later shifted to Liaquat University Hospital City Branch.

News reports state that Babar has suffered serious injuries in the accident and is in critical condition.

Sana and Babar had tied the knot in December 2013 and had resumed shooting serials earlier this year.

Sana was known for her appearance in a serial ‘Parchaiyan’, where her strong performance earned her critical acclaim. Babar is best known for his role in drama serial Ek Tamana Lahasil Se.

The two had also expressed interest working together in more dramas.
