Badin road accident injures over 30

KARACHI: At least 30 people were injured in the early hours of Wednesday when a passenger bus overturned near Sindh's Badin district, DawnNews reported.

The incident occurred when a bus going from Karachi to Badin overturned due to over-speeding.

Police personnel and rescue teams immediately reached the site of the accident.

According to the rescue sources, the passengers of the bus were going to Luari Sharif.

Some of the victims were shifted to civil hospital by rescue workers while rest were shifted to a nearby local hospital.

Pakistan has one of the world’s worst records for fatal traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads, badly maintained vehicles and reckless driving. In recent days, the country has witnessed sharp rise in the number of such deadly accidents.
