KARACHI: The Sindh Squash Association (SSA) has suspended its secretary Mohammad Amir Khan forthwith and decided to issue him show cause for allegedly spending huge amount of money without approval and showing lack of interest.

The charges against the secretary came up for discussion in the executive committee and annual general meeting that took place at Hyderabad on Saturday with its president Tahir Jamil Khanzada in the chair.

The meeting decided that Engr. Aijaz Shaikh will officiate as secretary.

At the outset, the president expressed satisfaction that Sindh has won Pakistan Squash Federation (PSF) Pride of Performance thrice besides finishing runner-up twice during the last five years. He called upon the districts associations to organise more activities of the game in their respective regions in future.

The house expressed gratitude to PSF for allowing Sindh players to use PSB Coaching Centre Karachi courts free of cost in addition to the generous support of PSF president, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt.

The meeting was attended among others by vice-president Prof. Najeeb Channa, treasurer Abdul Samad Khan, Jamil Ahmed Khan (Mirpurkhas), Aijaz Shaikh (Hyderabad), Shafqat Hussain Makani (Larkana), Mirza Asher Baig (Nawabshah), Mohammad Yameen Abro (Khairpur), Syed Ashraf Ali Shah (Tando Allayar), and Mrs. Tariq Shaikh (lady member).
