TOBA TEK SINGH: District Coordination Officer Dr Farah Masood has claimed that the Toba district has been made polio-free because of the concerted efforts of the department concerned and the anti-polio staff.

Speaking at a seminar on the ‘Provision of best social services and the role of the district government’ held under the auspices of Awaz and the accountability programme, the DCO said the World Health Organization, the Bill Gates Foundation and several NGOs fighting against polio had praised the performance of the Toba district government.

WHO official Dr Obaid Ahmad, district monitoring officer Asif Dogar and others also spoke.
