LAHORE: Unidentified gunmen resorted to aerial firing outside the residence of the film actor Meera on Friday night, after which they fled from the spot, DawnNews reported.

According to Lahore police, the incident occurred late at night outside the famous Pakistani actor's house, in the ‘U’ block of the Defence-B area.

Police added that no loss of life took place due to the assault.

Police Superintendent Sarfaraz Wark said that after receiving an application from the family members of the actor, they would take action against the suspects in the attack.

In 2009, Meera had filed a report due to a similar firing incident outside her residence.

Meera had put the blame on the son of a businessman belonging to Faisalabad, Atiqur Rehman. She had alleged that Rehman carried out the attack with the help of armed men.
