LAHORE: Police successfully foiled a terrorism bid by seizing a truck containing a huge cache of explosive material from Shahdara Town of Lahore city, DawnNews reported.
During a routine search, police halted a truck on the Rawal bridge check post, where they examined 40 gunny sacks allegedly containing brimstone. A deeper inspection uncovered the explosives hidden in the vehicle.
Two suspects were also arrested from the site. One of the suspects belonged to Chakwal while the other hailed from Mardan district.
Police took both suspects to an unidentified location for interrogation.

How the truck made it to Lahore all the way from North? How many check points it was able to pass safely? This raises serious questions about the effectiveness of policing.

All the forces need our support and prayers. These men are putting their lives on the line so the rest of us can be safe. A fund should be created to monetarily provide for families of the fallen and wounded heroes.

That's the thing with humans' inability to fully comprehend the seriousness of non-events. Had this truck exploded, many would have criticized. The media would have had a field day. However, thank God it didn't and I only see 3 comments and a passing mention in the news.
And this inability really does frustrate the officers in uniforms because for all their effort, one slip up ruins everything.

This does not prove anything one way or the other. If they did foil it, they did their job. They still have blood on their hands.
