GWADAR: A group of men attacked a Levies post in Gwargo area of Panjgur district on Saturday and took away weapons and wireless equipment.

According to sources, at least six men on motorcycles and a car surrounded the post and started firing. The Levies personnel returned fire but the attackers entered the post, overpowered them and took away their official weapons and wireless system.

Personnel of Frontier Corps and Levies force launched a search operation in the area after the incident.

Last week, gunmen stormed the tehsil office in Dashat Ghudan area of Kech district and burnt down the building along with official record. They also kidnapped two Levies men, but released them two days later.

The tehsil office in Bal-Nagor area of the same district had also been set on fire in another attack.
