Man kills step-mother, two sisters

QUETTA: A man gunned down his step-mother and two young sisters and injured father and brother in Gulda Baghacha village on the outskirts of Chaman on Thursday.

Police said Ashraf Khan Adozai escaped after committing the crime.

Bibi Fatima, 40, and Malika, 5, and Bibi Gul, 7, suffered multiple bullet wounds and died on the spot.

The injured, Abdul Raziq and six-year-old Qudratullah, were first taken to the district hospital in Chaman and later to the civil hospital in Quetta. Police said both were in critical condition.

The sources said Ashraf also fired at his eight-month-old brother who was sleeping but the baby escaped unhurt.

Quoting family sources, police said the cause of the incident was a family dispute. However, they added, the matter was being investigated. Raids were being conducted to arrest Ashraf.
