LANDI KOTAL: The outlawed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan has warned the people of Jamrud to avoid contacts with MNA Haji Shahji Gul or face consequences.

A pamphlet with TTP insignia was distributed and pasted on walls outside mosques and houses in Ghundi area of Jamrud on Sunday night.

Wajid Ali, a resident of the area, told Dawn by phone that the pamphlet accused Shahji Gul of being an ‘American agent’ and warned the residents against contacting him.

“Those found violating the warning will be targeted, along with the MNA,” said the pamphlet written in Urdu.

Militants targeted two close relatives of the MNA a few days ago, injuring them critically. They also kidnapped a man.

Shahji Gul could not be contacted, but local officials said they were verifying the authenticity of the pamphlet.
