Following in the footsteps of his former band member, Gohar Mumtaz, former lead vocalist of Jal, Farhan Saeed, will be making his acting debut in the upcoming drama, Daay Ijazat Jo Tu, which will air on HUM TV from Monday (today).

Directed by Fahim Burney, the drama is a love story and also stars Jawaid Sheikh, Saba Hamid and Pyare Afzal famed Sohai Ali Abro alongside Farhan Saeed.

It's too early to predict whether Farhan will carve out his name in acting, but we hope this change is fruitful.

Farhan left Jal in 2011 to pursue a solo career and recently lent his vocals to the song Naam-e-Wafa featured in Imran Abbas's Bollywood film, Creature 3D.
