LAHORE: Markazi Jamiat Ahle Hadith president Senator Sajid Mir cautions that a world war may flare up if the United Nations does not set limits to freedom of expression.
A statement on Sunday quoted the senator as saying in a party meeting that reaction to the repeated blasphemy by a French journal was quite natural and no peace could be guaranteed if the heinous act in the name of the freedom of expression was not put to an end.
He said the UN would be held responsible if it did not act to set limits to the freedom of expression.

Here we go - threatening war. Such brilliant minds, such religious people - itching to go to war. Anything new here, or have we had wars with such religious people for a long time now.

Good people should deny all criminals any kind of shelter or refugee. Even if that means blaspheming through mouth though there is submission in heart. How will criminals justify their action through any holy book when majority agrees that the holy book is not the guide for management? Deny any space to the cheaters, blood-suckers, and god will definitely be with those who take head on the criminals in all ways possible.

Wow Dear Senator, does that mean that, in PAKISTAN, hate speech against religious minorities like Ahmadis, Christians, Hindus, and Jews will be eliminated; with Friday sermons monitored, well know TV bigots muzzled, and editorial limits on hate postings!!!
No, definitely no limits on hate speech against non-MUSLIMS in the land of the pure, since these statements are only meant to score political points for the usual suspects by threats against the West!

I am a Muslim. I believe in the one almighty God who is the master of the universe and the Day of Judgment. As commanded in the Quran I equally respect all his chosen messengers and prophets, through all the ages. There is nothing that anyone can say, or do, that can tarnish the nobility of these persons, or minimize the majesty of Allah.
So why do these petty bloodthirsty mullahs keep demanding a blasphemy law? Simply because it perpetuates their personal power over the mindless mobs they have brainwashed.

@BRR So are you in favor of publishing these provocative Cartoons of a great personality? And Muslims should be mum and capitulate! They do whatever they want and we even cant threaten them. What a pathetic approach of yours!

A war? War is between equal sides. It will be a massacre and re-colonizing of Muslim lands like in the 1800s. Majority of Muslim countries have no technology or infrastructure to manufacture aircrafts and tanks. He should think before speaking

Maybe you have a point. However, can you put your hands on your heart and guarantee that in return you could also reciprocate in kind to what @numbersnumbers has mentioned in his post??

So far as I know Pakistan is not a member of the UN security council. Everything else is only a forum for debates.
Now we should censor the United Nations? Get a grip on yourself.

@Ample reverence for Saudis Your prophet was ridiculed by people even when he was alive and he did not care and went ahead with is work ( Or That's what Muslims always say). The more you react, the more provocation you are likely to face. You can protest but not kill people. The problem with Muslims is that they are hypersensitive when it comes to their religion and very insensitive towards other religions and those who follow other religions.

Is the Gentleman really a senator in Pakistan ? I thought only we have MP's and MLA's in India with IQ lower than 25.
What does he mean by world war ? I hope he was not educated in misaddress and was not brainwashed thinking that he is most superior human being because he belongs to one specific religion. I hope be know what does "world war" stands for? Hope he also knows that in last world war humanity lost almost 60 million people. And last world war was between almost equal sides, and it lasted for approximately 5 t o 6 years.
But senators so called world war will last only for (maximum) 7 days and one side will be annihilated completely, grow up !!!!!!! it is not medieval times world has moved way too ahead and way too fast....you cannot win with threats, use common sense,
