Tickets for the much-anticipated clash between India and Pakistan at Adelaide Oval sold out in just 20 minutes when they went on sale last year, according to the International Cricket Council. The match could be the most-watched game in cricket history.

Essentially there are two fans and both from the USA. Can any common man of Pakistan even afford to go to the Australia, provided one succeeds in getting a Visa.

@alladitta There are tens of thousands of overseas Pakistanis and Indians who have made Australia their home (myself included) as well as students, so there will be no shortage of both Indian and Pakistani supporters, though Indians out-number Pakistanis there about 3:1. I know that the student number has increased so there is no visa issue. I expect there will be some visitors from Pakistan coming for the WC, but mostly from the UK and middle east.
Iy is a shame that locals do not have a chance to watch international matches live anymore. Hope things will change soon.

I am Indian. I will support India and am happy that our brothers in Pakistan will support their team. But what i find very very strange is that in a match between Pakistan and another nation i have always supported Pakistan. With out any doubt i have cheered the Pakistan team especially in England where i see the matches. But strangely the Pakistanis in UK have never supported India against England. Why is that? Why dont you support your brothers in matches against other nations?

Oh btw i have eaten at Garib Nawaz in Chicago's Devon Road. Really guys the biryani is very very cheap. Dont understand how he can sell it so cheap. But the taste........if you from Pakistan or India you will weep at the crime being committed in the name of our cuisine. But the chap is marvellous. He spends all his money on cricket....brilliant

@vidyut Actually, I support India in the absence of Pakistan. In fact, I would go on to say that if anyone of us is truthful, we both support each other's team, even though we may not accept that we do!

@vidyut ...absolutely nothing wrong with his biryani. On the contrary, its delicious. But then its all a matter of personal tast . To each his/her own. But we are getting side tracked. This is not a culinary forum. Biryani aside, Bashir's zeal for the game and his unwavering support of Team Pakistan are admirable.

@vidyut It is indeed so nice to see a message that acknowledges that we share common roots and heritage.
I typically support India whenever it is playing any other team but Pakistan. This is especially true when India is playing England.
BTW, I was born Pakistan with both parents born in India and have lived most of my life in US - however my ancestors are likely 100% Indian and not Arab or Persian.

Congratulate you all Indian Brothers for your victory.. Enjoy it before time. But I think this time India will not be able to survive his championship. But a good news is it that India will defeat Pakistani team and I think Pakistani team is going rapidly towards West Indian team. Glory time of Pakistani team is the tale of ancient.
