QUETTA: Sardar Nasir Ali Jamali who died of heart attack in Karachi on Sunday night was laid to rest in his native town Rojhan Jamali on Monday.

A former provincial minister of PPP in the Nawab Aslam Raisani’s government, Nasir Jamali was the son of a former chief of Jamali tribe, late Sardar Yar Mohammad Khan Jamali, and the nephew of former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali. He was also a close relative of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali.

Nasir Jamali was elected to Balochistan Assembly after the murder of his elder brother, Sardarzada Rustam Khan Jamali, who was also a minister in the Raisani’s government.

Nasir Jamali who served as provincial education minister was a retired army officer.

Balochistan Chief Minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has expressed sorrow over the demise of Nasir Jamali and termed it a great loss to the Jamali family.
