SIALKOT: Two young cousins drowned while swimming in the Chenab near Head Marala here on Sunday.

Muhammad Ramzan, 15, and Ulfat, 13, were swimming in the river to beat the heat when they drowned.

Rescue 1122 personnel recovered the bodies and handed them over to their families.

PICNIC: A large number of people, including women and children, on Sunday thronged the banks of the Chenab near Head Marala for picnicking and swimming due to the severe weather.

Some women were of the view that they did not have a beach here that was why they were enjoying at the banks of the Chenab. Youths were found playing cricket and football. Local villagers had brought their cattle to wash them in the river.
