KARACHI: The Shawwal moon was sighted in Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Qatar on Thursday and Eidul Fitr will be celebrated in the countries on Friday.
In Oman, the moon was not sighted. Hence Eid will fall on Saturday.
In the United States, too, Eid will be celebrated on Friday, according to the Fiqh Council of North America.
According to TV news channels, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia, Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Philippines will also celebrate the festival on Friday.

In Saudi Arabia today is eid-ul-fitr in other countries such as According to TV news channels, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Indonesia, Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Philippines will also celebrate the festival on Friday.
