ISLAMABAD: Indian extremist party Shiv Sena attacked on Saturday an ongoing Pak-India exhibition in the Indian city of Dehradun.
The Shiv Sena activists stormed the exhibition, closed the doors and chanted slogans against Pakistan.
They forcibly got the Pakistani stalls closed and changed the name of exhibition to Indo-Asia from Indo-Pak.
The exhibition had started on Jan 7 and would continue till Jan 10, TV reports said.
Later, the local administration provided security to continue the exhibition.
This is not the first time that Shiv Sena had demonstrated its anti-Pakistan sentiments.
In October last, activists of the hard line party, angry at the launch of former foreign minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri’s book, doused the event organiser with black ink in Mumbai.
In the same month, the Shiv Sena activists stormed the headquarters of the Indian cricket Board in Mumbai, shortly before Indian cricket officials were scheduled to meet their Pakistani counterparts to discuss revival of cricket ties between the two countries.

Shiv Sena is a party famous for collecting "protection" money from rich businessmen. They have a strong hold on Bombay, New Bombay, Thane and Costal areas of Maharashtra. They control all the municipalities and BJP could only form the Government with their support hence the dadagiri. Shiv Sena has destroyed two generations of Maharashtrians by brain washing them about how “outsiders” like Gujrathis, South Indians, and rich Bohri Muslims are taking their advantage. Unless people stop supporting Shiv Sena this will go on.

Sad. Shiva Sena should believe some common values among human beings. Hindu religion as I know spread love, tolerance and brotherhood. I don't know from where they have learned to intimidate others. Shive Sena and their followers should not waste their energies in hate and intolerance. That kind of attitude has forced many artists and writers in India to speak their minds against intolerance. That is serious division. People from ethnic minorities feel insecure and unsafe. Do Shiva Sena represent any group of people in Indian democracy? No wonder they lost election.
