The sad truth is, we'll all be talking about yet another carnage and more senseless killings somewhere else, few days or weeks from now. Unfortunately, the government is either unable or unwilling to provide 'fool proof security' to its own citizens.
But expect top notch strictest security for VIPs and visiting foreign cricket teams!
What a convoluted sets of priorities we have!
I couldn't give two cents about any VIP or cricket game if my own life and limb is at risk on a daily basis, and I cannot count on my government to protect me!??

Will it be last time when innocent blood of my compatriots is shed in Pakistan is the only question not to be ignored instead, on the contra, it must be answered by none but those who matter in our power corridor? Time and again innocent lives are lost right from east to west and north to south but still we have no plan of action to stop such killings. Each time blood is drained alike I notice that our VVIPs and VIPs condemn the attack, offer condolences and issue instructions for investigations duly punctuated with strict warning to those who committed the crime but a day after our officials just forgot it and wake up again to repeat the same exercise when we attacked next time. Who takes the lead? Iqbal Hadi Zaidi / Kuwait / zaidi4merdiplomat@hotmail.com

Yet another devastatingly sad day for Pakistan, far too many of them sadly. Why take away innocent lives of students - just no justifying of such heinous acts. There are no good or bad terrorists. Arrest them all. Why are so many in our cities walking around with total impunity when they have blood on their hands. We have only ourselves to blame for the inaction against some, instead of arresting them all. We must hold quick trials, bring justice to the 60,000 lost innocent lives; and for all the broken homes of those who survived these dastardly acts of violence, yet losing loved ones. Where is our empathy for those who suffer???? NO MORE KILLINGS, STOP IT.

I remember last time, Govt. hesitated in operation and then APS incident happened.
and now we know that Sindh Govt. and Punjab Govt. are creating hurdles because the next phase is to capture the facilitators where Govt. is hurdle now and we all know why?
and now this happened.

Why should he step down? He was brought to power by the people who already knew his careless attitude towards the country and more interest towards his personal business. This country needs to suffer the mistakes it always makes even knowing the future consequences of electing the same old tried and tested leaders until it learns.

What is the police doing in KPK. With APS school they conveniently blamed the army by saying army doesn't let us protect any thing in cantonments. Now what excuse does this so called most honest police has. I don't see schools or colleges get attacked like this in any other area of the country except KPK. The security apparatus in this province has become a joke after they keep getting hit in the same manner. They say fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me. Mr Khatak seems more interested in picking a fight with the centre instead of providing the people of the province an efficient security mechanism. I am supporter of PTI but have now developed serious doubts about their priorities. I don't see Army involvement in Punjab but it seems to be the only province where police seems to be keeping things in check.

In TTP we have faced the combined power of all our enemies, internal and external and we are winning very easily considering who is behind TTP. Pak Fauj Zindabad. Sipah Salar Zindabad. First of all we must appreciate our law enforcement agencies, particularly Pak Army for the swift action.
On the other hand we should not jump to criticize KPK or federal governments for not providing security to the population. The kind of enemy we are fighting against is invisible hidden among us. It is just not possible to put army on the gate of every school and mosque.
Let each and every one of us look for this enemy hidden among us to establish lasting peace and security for ourselves.

@Saeed Ahmed Disagree. Both federal and provincial governments should be taken to task and asked what measures they have taken after the APS incident to avert incidents like these. It is their job to ensure security of citizens and this is why people vote for them and not for slinging mud at each other.

They do what they want and target always innocent and poor people only ... I have never read anything about anywhere that any politician been attacked by these people yet may be the reason they have strong and all type of security facility but what about the innocent people, who is going to provide them security while they are paying all types of taxes and all to government. Govt of all countries should have to take some strong strategic steps to make safe to their country people. RIP to those innocent kids n people who lost their life.

This sort of barbarism is being carried out even in the most advanced countries of Europe and America. Some Middle Eastern states are crumbling under pressure from Daesh, Alqaida and Taliban. We shouldn't make haste in conclusion of accusing our provincial, federal or military hierarchy. Having said that I think there is ample room in security arrangements in each and ever city of Pakitan. If our police force sets their direction right, facilitators of terrorists can easily be nabbed before their heinous acts. Under the present circumstances, police can be handed over to army for effective law enforcement, proactive and preemptive measures at least in wartime period. I am sure if police carryout combing search in cities honestly, they can unearth potential actors.
