Pakistan overcame an early wobble to defeat UAE by seven wickets and register their first win of the Asia Cup T20 on Monday.

Shoaib Malik (63) and Umar Akmal (50) were the heroes in Pakistan recovery after Shahid Afridi's side lost their top three batsmen inside four over with just 17 runs on the board, courtesy a tight bowling spell by UAE captain Amjad Javed.

Earlier, Javed combined with Muhammad Usman to take UAE to competitive 129 after top-order batsman Shaiman Anwar scored a brilliant 46 off 41 balls.
