Pakistan could pull off upset in final, predicts Indian astrologer

KOLKATA: The rub of the green might just go against MS Dhoni’s boys if it comes to a final showdown between Pakistan and India, says an Indian “scientific astrologer”.
Having based their hopes on current form, the home-advantage factor and head-to-head World Cup history involving India and Pakistan, Indian fans might like to believe otherwise.
But astrologer Greenstone Lobo, who says his analysis is research-based and scientific and who calls himself a “scientific astrologer”, predicts India will not win the World T20 this time.
The reason: Dhoni’s stars are not favourable.
In a signed column on Friday in Ananda Bazar Patrika, a leading Bengali daily from Kolkata, Lobo in fact mentions Pakistan as the likely Cup winners — should they manage to reach the final.
He does not analyse Shahid Afridi’s stars, and a note in the bottom of the article says prospects of the other teams and captains will follow in the coming days. But of this Lobo is sure — Dhoni’s cosmic luck has run out as far as “big events” are concerned.
Lobo says the Planet X, or asteroid 2007 RH283 — apparently an important star astrologically — falls in Dhoni’s 10th house of the cosmic chart, which implies loss.
According to him, a skipper may win a “few smaller events” when he enters a lean patch astrologically, but not the big ones.
To buttress his theory, Lobo mentions a bagful of “smaller” wins for Dhoni after the World Cup 2011 — the 2013 Champions trophy, the 2013 Champions League for Chennai Super Kings, the historic 3-0 whitewash of the Australians in Australia in January and more recently, the 2016 Asia Cup.
On the other hand, he argues, the three “big” trophies after this— the World T20 in 2012 and 2014, plus the 2015 ODI World Cup — eluded him.
The astrologer says March 19 will be “favourable” for Dhoni, and India will overcome Pakistan in the league stage in the Eden encounter.
But it will be Pakistan who will be the winners in the final, says Lobo, author of a book on astrology, ‘What Is Your True Zodiac Sign?’
The astrologer’s predictions ought to make Pakistani fans happy at a time when there has not been too much to enthuse them.

PAK fought very hard vs ENG in UAE in all 3T20I. They lost them by small margin due to lack of planning & stratogy....PAK top 3 batsman needs to play 15 overs. Then see what can U Akmal & Afridi do. Ok. it's very simple now. All selection committee members will be replaced by astrologers and they will name 11 people irrespective of whether they play cricket or not and who has favorable stars during tournament period especially on day of final. On a given day anyone can win. Group 2 is a tough group: Aus, NZ, Ind, Pak and BD. Any two teams could qualify. It takes one good or bad over to turn the fortunes. Take Sami's over for example. So keep your hopes alive whichever team you are supporting.

This is utter non-sense. It is not the high rank team which wins, but the team which puts better efforts on THAT particular day. Currently Pakistan's form may not be better than Indian form, but that does not mean that they can't play a better game. Remember, when Pakistan was stronger than India, India managed to beat Pakistan.
I will be upset if India loses, but a loss in a game doesn't make India inferior. I would feel the same for Pakistan if I were a Pakistan.

If Indian “scientific astrologer” prediction becomes true he will be the most popular astrologer in world specially in Pakistan :) and people will flock to him to find their personal forecast and pay him whatever he demands. Why do we bring starts and planets in cricket. Why don't we understand the simple fact,
it is not the rank or the form, but the team which puts up a better performance on that day wins the match. In 80s and 90s Pakistan cricket team was much stonger than Indian cricket team but India managed to beat Pakistan in world cup encounters. This can happen on any given day.
Now TRP hungry media starts building up pressure. It is just a game, do we show the same emotions in a game of table tennis betwen Pakitan and India? I bet many of us do not even know who are the top most table tennis players in our respective countries.
We are making cricket a national pride, I strictly believe, when India loses, it is just that Indian cricket team loss to Pakistan cricket team. It is not India Vs Pakistan, it is Indian cricket team Vs Pakistan cricket team.

Distraction. Pakistan should focus on batting aggressively, taking singles. Play normal cricket except to hit big shots early on. Indian bowling has been very effective in this format recently, not to underestimate them. Good normal cricket should be sufficient. Above all...DO NOT RELY ON ONE OR TWO PLAYERS ONLY. T-20 and ODI cricket more than ever is a team sport and demands 2-3 good opening partnerships in the top 6 batsmen.

An astrologer was been ushered by our neighbours and my grandmother was so excited to know the future that she told the guy to come in the evening when her son i.e. my father would return from work. As soon as my Dad came back from work in the evening, I told my dad about the astrologer coming in an hour or so being excited as a kid . As soon as he came and started talking; my Dad said he does not want to know his future but he knew the astrologer's future AFTER 5 MINUTES if he would continue in his house for another 2/3 minutes. The poor astrologer left . WE NEVER RELIED ON ASTROLOGY THEREAFTER NOR DO MY KIDS EVER GO TO AN ASTROLOGER. OUR FATHER TAUGHT US THAT WE SHOULD BELIEVE IN OUR OWN KARMA - OUR DEEDS. OUR DEEDS REPAY US THE BEST. PLAY GOOD CRICKET IS THE MORAL OF THE STORY INSTEAD OF RELYING ON ASTROLOGY.

the way Aus, SA, WI, Eng & India have played in the warm-up games, I guess this tournament is going to be one heck of an entertainment. to overcome these team will be very difficult and mark my word winner could be anyone from these teams. this is not to demean other teams but just a practical observation based on their recent performances...

Oh please stop filling us with hot air. It is always good to keep hopes but filling up minds with astrological philosophies & lame memes is rubbish. No doubt that Pakistani team is the most unexpected team of all, but the truth is, they have also been the biggest disappointment of all. The only thing that our team has been doing consistently is disappointing us. Teams win trophies on good performances with consistency. Unfortunately for Pakistan, they have lost the image they once had of cornered tigers. They have proven time and time again that we should not hope much from them. Good luck to all teams. What is 20 - 20 after all, it's smart entertaining cricket. Entertaining mainly because the tournament is being conducted on flat or spin favoured pitches in India and rules are mostly in favour of batsmen. The main requirement being displine in batting, bowling and fielding departments.
A reasonable contribution by three to four batsmen will suffice. Fast bowlers shouldn't get carried away but bowl according to the conditions and their strength. They shouldn't bowl wide and in particular no balls. The teams must have at least two good spinners. A spinner bowling no ball should be barred from playing international cricket.
The team that meets the above mentioned requirement is sure to win. If Pakistan can displine itself, then surely it has chances, why not. Why should one be patriotic unnecessarily since this is just a tournament and nothing else. May the better team win. I simply don't bother which team wins as long as better team wins.

One famous astrologer had once said that astrology predicts behavior patterns of a person & in a given situation the likelyhood of success or failure of that event basd on the behavioral pattern of that person.
After all it is probability & depends on the skill of astrologer. A good astrologer is able to correctly access the intensity of certain parameter.

These days cricket teams have access to high-tech facilities and opponents' weaknesses are well known, and these are well capitalized in match after match. Only a balanced approach will be useful in a match situation. This is where a good captain and a good coach can be useful. Pakistan team does not have the strengths of a balanced team in all departments of the game. So, extra care will be needed in its strong departments.

Pakistan just needs to open well. Play the first 6 overs with maximum 1 or 2 wickets down - max! Then if they can put on 180 or so total (not sure how batting friendly Indian pitches are) then Pak bowlers definitely have a strong chance of defending that total. And they cannot mess up in the field. Fielding will have to be super tight! Nothing to do with astrology. And India with simply amazing Virat, Dhoni, Rohit can beat any team on any given day. I just hope we get a good match that goes to the last over! Thats the beauty of a fun India-Pak game. Win or loss doesnt matter then! Godspeed to both teams. Lots of love from Pakistan.
