KARACHI: A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Akhuwat Foundation and the Sindh education department on Monday for the revival of the educational standard of the NJV High School.
According to the MoU, the Sindh government, which already had contributed Rs300 million to the NJV endowment fund, would give Rs100m next year and another Rs300m in 2018.
The amount would be utilised to restore the historic model school status of the institution.
Dr Amjad Saqib represented the NJV Akhuwat Foundation while Dr Fazlullah Pechuho signed the MoU on behalf of the Sindh government. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Punjab Education Minister Rana Mashhood.
Speaking on the occasion, the CM pledged to restore the historic and quality education model stature of the NJV School.
Sindh Education minister Jam Mehtab Dhar, Special Assistant to CM Taimour Talpur, Additional Chief Secretary Muhammad Waseem, Principal Secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch and others also present.
